This Privacy Notice explains how Grouch Potato, LLC (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Syncopate at syncopate.art and app.syncopate.art.

1) Summary

We collect account data, usage data, and billing-related data (handled by Paddle).

We use data to operate the Service, personalize features (e.g., your queues), communicate with you, secure the platform, and comply with law.

You control certain settings in your account and can request access, correction, deletion, or portability as applicable.

We use essential cookies (login/session), analytics cookies (product usage), and, where enabled, marketing cookies. By using the site, you agree to our use of cookies as described in this Privacy Notice. You can control cookies in your browser settings and within the app where available.

2) Data we collect

Account Data: name, email, password (hashed), settings, preferences.

Subscription/Billing: plan, status, country, taxes, and payment metadata processed by Paddle. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Product Usage: pages and features used, timestamps, device/browser, referral, IP, coarse location, event logs.

Content You Provide: notes, selections, labels, and other inputs created while using the Service.

Cookies & Similar Tech: for authentication, preferences, analytics, and fraud prevention.

3) How we use data

Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.

Process subscriptions and invoices (via Paddle).

Communicate service updates, onboarding, engagement emails (e.g., “new queue available”), and important notices.

Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

Analytics to understand usage and improve performance.

4) Sharing

We share data with:

Paddle (payments/merchant of record, tax, invoicing).

Hosting, storage, email delivery, analytics, monitoring, and customer support providers.

Authorities or others when required by law or to protect rights/safety.
We do not sell personal information.

5) International transfers

We may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs) for international transfers.

6) Retention

We retain data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business or legal obligations (e.g., tax, security, audit). We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed.

7) Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, or request portability. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with your local authority.

8) Marketing choices

You can opt out of non-essential emails using unsubscribe links. Transactional and service notices will still be sent.

9) Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your data; however, no method is 100% secure.

10) Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. Do not use the Service if you are under 16.

11) Changes

We may update this Notice. Material changes will be communicated (e.g., by email or in-app) with the new effective date.
